Working in partnership with RUOK (Recycling Unlimited), we are now able to offer woodworking and gardening activities in Hull.

The woodworking unit on Bontoft Avenue in Hull is a fully equipped workshop where garden furniture is made from recycled wood. There is no need for woodworking experience as the range of tasks covers breaking down old pallets through to making complex items, but there is full training and support given by friendly and understanding people and there are no targets set, so people work at their own pace.

Seeing the end results is amazing, and spending time in a welcoming and supportive environment is therapeutic and beneficial. See some of the products here.

Similarly, the gardening site is a group of 3 allotments, kept immaculately by a regular volunteer. We are able to provide free transport to and from the site, and the days vary depending on where you live. We would aim to spend around 4 hours at the venue, with tea and coffee provided.

We would particularly welcome ex armed forces veterans to join us, as we value them immensely. RUOK have received a grant from the Royal British Legion to provide support and a qualified trainer, who is also an understanding ex army veteran. More information on that is available by clicking here.
